Gold coin 5000 CZK Municipal Monument Reserve Cheb 2021 Standard

On May 25, 2021, the Czech National Bank is issuing the first gold coin from the Urban Monument Reserve cycle. Its theme is the city of Cheb. The coin is minted from 999.9 fineness gold and is issued in two versions, regular and high-quality (proof), which differ in surface finish and edge design. In high-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth. Regular quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm, the weight is 15.55 g and the thickness is 1.9 mm. When minting coins, deviations in diameter of 0.1 mm and in thickness of 0.15 mm are allowed. In weight, a deviation of up to 0.062 g is allowed, and in gold content, a deviation of up to 0.01%. The obverse of the coin depicts a unique complex of Cheb wooden roof trusses, into which heraldic animals from the large state emblem are incorporated, namely the Czech lion in the middle, the Moravian eagle to the right and the Silesian eagle to the left. On the lower left beam there is the denomination of the coin's nominal value with the abbreviation of the monetary unit "5,000 CZK" and the mark of the Czech Mint, which is made up of the letters "Č" and "M". The text "MĚSTSKÉ PAMÁTKOVÉ REZERVACE" and the text "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA" are printed around the circumference of the coin. The reverse side of the coin features a collage of the most important architectural monuments, which are depicted on the ground plan of the Cheb Municipal Monument Reserve. The text "MĚSTO CHEB" and the year of minting "2021" are printed around the circumference of the coin. The initials of the author Jiří Hanuš, DiS., which are formed by the letter "H" in a frame, are located at the lower left edge of the plan of the Cheb Municipal Monument Reserve.
