Gold coin 5000 CZK Municipal Monument Reserve Jihlava 2021 Standard

On October 5, 2021, the Czech National Bank will issue the second gold coin from the Urban Monument Reserve cycle. Its theme is the city of Jihlava. The coin is minted from 999.9 fine gold and is issued in two versions, regular and high-quality (proof), which differ in surface finish and edge design. In high-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth. Regular quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm, the weight is 15.55 g and the thickness is 1.9 mm. When minting coins, deviations of 0.1 mm in diameter and 0.15 mm in thickness are allowed. The weight is allowed to deviate upwards by 0.062 g and the gold content by 0.01%. On the obverse of the coin, in the middle of the coin field, the figure of an angel in heaven from the Church of St. Ignatius of Loyola, who holds the city coat of arms in its Baroque form. Around the angel, heraldic animals from the large state coat of arms are incorporated into the Baroque fortification, namely the Czech lion at the top, the Moravian eagle to the left and the Silesian eagle to the right. Below the angel is the denomination of the coin's nominal value with the abbreviation of the monetary unit "5,000 CZK". The texts "MĚSTSKÉ PAMÁTKOVÉ REZERVACE" and "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA" are printed around the circumference of the coin. The Czech Mint mark, which consists of the letters "Č" and "M", is located at the right edge. On the reverse side of the coin is a collage of the most important architectural monuments of the Jihlava City Monument Reserve. The text "MĚSTO JIHLAVA" is printed at the upper edge, and the year of minting "2021" is located at the lower edge. The initials of the coin's author, Luboš Charvát, which are formed by the connected letters "L" and "Ch", are located under the letter "M" from the text "TOWN OF JIHLAVA".
