The coin's rim features the inscription BRITANNIA, the year of issue and the fineness and weight of the metal. The obverse of the 1 oz (one troy ounce) Britannia coin shows the profile of Charles III. The portrait of the king, created by British sculptor Martin Jennigs, is complemented by a Tudor crown.
