The coin's motif is a portrait of a dragon with stylized waves and fog, which points to its control over the elements. On the reverse of the coin, both the Chinese character for "dragon" and the inscription "DRAGON 2024" and the Perth Mint's "P125" mint mark, marking the 125th anniversary of the mint. The 1 Oz coin includes a special security feature in the form of a microlaser-engraved letter, which is visible only under a magnifying glass, which significantly complicates the possibility of counterfeiting coins.
