The Year of the Snake 2025 1/4 Oz gold coin is the sixth coin in the Lunar Series III from the Perth Mint of Australia. The coin is struck from 1/4 ounce of 99.99% pure gold and celebrates the Year of the Snake. The reverse of the coin depicts a snake coiled between bamboo stalks. The design includes the Chinese character for "snake", the inscription "SNAKE 2025" and the Perth Mint's "P" mintmark. The obverse of the coin depicts the effigy of His Majesty King Charles III. Dan Thorn, the weight, fineness and nominal value of the coin.
The coins are minted in 5 sizes: 2 oz, 1 Oz, 1/2 Oz, 1/4 Oz and 1/10 Oz in 99.99% (24-carat) purest gold. The mintage of the 2 oz, 1/2 Oz, 1/4 Oz, 1/10 Oz coins is unlimited, only the 1 Oz coins are minted in a limited mintage of 30,000 pieces.
