The Year of the Tiger 2022 1/10 Oz gold coin is the third coin in the Lunar Series III from the Australian mint, the Perth Mint. The coin is struck from 1/10 ounce of 99.99% pure gold. The design features the Chinese character for "tiger", the inscription "TIGER 2022" and the Perth Mint's "P" mintmark.
The 1/10 Oz coin includes a special security feature in the form of a microlaser-engraved letter that is only visible under a magnifying glass, which significantly makes it difficult to counterfeit coins.
The reverse of the coin depicts a commemorative portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Jody Clark, with the years of her reign "ELIZABETH II 1952-2022", the denomination "15 DOLLARS", the weight and fineness "1/4 oz, 9999 Ag" and the country of origin "AUSTRALIA".
The coins are minted in 4 sizes: 10 oz, 2 oz, 1 Oz, 1/2 Oz, 1/4 Oz and 1/10 Oz in 99.99% (24-carat) purest gold. The mintage of the 10 oz, 2 oz, 1/2 Oz, 1/4 Oz, 1/10 Oz coins is unlimited, only the 1 Oz coins are minted in a limited edition of 30,000 pieces.
