The Swiss gold franc, known as the Vrenelli, is one of the most popular gold coins, recognized by both collectors and investors. It is also considered one of the most beautiful coins thanks to its motif. The obverse of the coin features the porter girl Vrenelli, who is a symbol of Switzerland. The background of the coin depicts the Swiss Alps. Thanks to the inscription Helvetia, these coins are often referred to by this name. The reverse side of the coin bears a shield with a cross.
All coins were minted in Switzerland at the mint in Bern. The coin weighs 6.45 g and contains 0.1867 oz of gold.
The coins were minted between 1897 and 1935, and then again in 1947 and 1949.
