The St. Wenceslas ducat is a gold investment coin that was minted from 1923 to 1939 in denominations of 1, 2, 5, 10 ducats and was intended to commemorate the importance and strength of the currency of the Czechoslovak Republic. On the reverse of the coin is Duke Wenceslas on horseback with a sword in his right hand and a palm branch in his left. In the background is a waving banner, on the right is a shield with an eagle. On the left side is the year of Duke Wenceslas's death "+929", in the middle below is a hazel sprig and below it the symbols of the founders of the B-OŠ, all around is the inscription "Do not let us and future ones perish". The edge is decorated with a pearl wreath. On the obverse of the coin is a small emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic with a linden branch on the right and all around with the inscription "Republika Československá". Between the shield and the inscription is a ground dotted with dots. The edge is decorated with a pearl wreath.
The minting of Czechoslovak, so-called St. Wenceslas ducats in the period before World War II was very significant, presenting the Czechoslovak Republic as a functional and economically strong state, which, after liberation from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, continued its glorious history.
