The Australian Kookaburra (Kingfisher) 1 Oz 2026 Color silver coin with a colorful motif and the iconic Berlin logo was issued to mark the WMF Berlin 2026 international trade fair.
The colorful Kookaburra silver coins have become synonymous with this major annual event and are in high demand. The coins are packaged in a card.
The silver coin with a color motif of the Australian kookaburra was minted from 1OZ of 99.99% pure silver by The Perth Mint. The reverse side depicts the iconic Australian bird in flight with its wings spread in bright colors. In the background is a water surface lined with trees and land with tufts of grass. The edge of the coin is traditionally lined with the inscription "KOOKABURRA," followed by information about the weight, purity, and year of issue "2026 1oz 9999 SILVER" and the traditional "P" mark of The Perth Mint. The motif of the silver coin with a color motif includes the Privy Mark in the form of the iconic Berlin AMPELMANN™. Following the previous two years with the green and red figures that can be found at traffic lights in the center of Berlin, the 2026 edition features both AMPELMANN™ symbols, which are depicted in the heart.
The obverse of the coin features a portrait of King Charles III, the coin's face value, and the country of origin.
Australian kookaburra
The kookaburra is known for its raucous laugh, which can be heard throughout Australia. Although this bird is adept at stealing food from human terraces, in the wild it feeds on a varied diet of insects, earthworms, frogs, fish,
mice, and even poisonous snakes! The kookaburra catches the snake in its beak and usually beats its prey to death.
