This endearing marsupial spends most of its life nestled among the eucalyptus leaves, finding comfort and safety in their canopy. The coin’s reverse portrays a koala clinging to a tree trunk amongst eucalyptus foliage. Included on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and a coloured panda privy mark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity and 2025 year-date.
The coin is presented in an beautifully illustrated display card featuring both iconic animals, the panda and the koala. On the back of the card is the official logo for the 2025 Beijing International Coin Exposition.
