The motif of the coin is a portrait of a dragon with stylized waves and fog, which points to its control of the elements. On the reverse of the coin, both the Chinese character for "dragon" and the inscription "DRAGON 2024" and the Perth Mint's "P125" mark, marking the 125th anniversary of the mint. The 2 Oz coin includes a special security feature in the form of a microlaser-engraved letter, which is visible only under a magnifying glass, which significantly complicates the possibility of counterfeiting coins. The coin is minted in a limited series of 1,888 pieces.
