The Royal Mint Bar - Queen's Beasts 1 Ounce Silvert is a unique investment product from the renowned The Royal Mint. This piece depicts ten heraldic animals symbolising the royal heritage of Queen Elizabeth II - mother of His Majesty King Charles III. In 1953, these statues of The Queen's Beasts guarded Westminster Abbey during the coronation of Elizabeth II. The design is inspired by the statues adorning the entrance to Hampton Court Palace, symbolising the power of Henry VIII and the Tudor dynasty. A modern version of these legendary beasts was designed by Jody Clark and the Royal Mint's design team. Each bar is made from Ag.9999 fine metal, weighs 1 troy ounce and measures 32 x 32 mm.
The obverse features the Royal Mint logo and information on the metal's fineness and weight. The reverse features the first official portrait of a young Elizabeth II, designed by Mary Gillick, along with all ten heraldic animals.
