Koalas are loved by people around the world, and now collectors may treasure these iconic creatures in pure gold with a depth of detail that is beyond compare.
Mintage 200
Koalas are tree‑dwelling marsupials native to Australia and found almost exclusively in the eucalyptus forests in eastern and southeastern regions of the country. Their extremely specific and low energy diet of eucalyptus leaves means they sleep for between 18 to 22 hours a day, often curled into the forks of their tree.
The coin’s reverse portrays a koala perched in a eucalyptus tree, holding a leafy branch in its mouth surrounded by native foliage. Included on the reverse are the inscriptions ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, as well as the coin’s weight, purity and 2026 year-date.
The coin has been struck with an extra-deep blank to showcase its superbly detailed design in high relief.
Accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity, the coin comes in an elegant black display case and an illustrated shipper.
