Silver coin 200 CZK Jan Brokoff 300th anniversary of death 2018 Proof

On December 12, 2018, the Czech National Bank is issuing a commemorative silver two-hundred-crown coin to mark the 300th anniversary of the death of Jan Brokoff. The two-hundred-crown coin is minted from an alloy containing 925 parts silver and 75 parts copper and is issued in two versions, regular and proof, which differ in surface finish and edge design. In top-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth with the inscription "ČESKÁ NÁRODNÍ BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *". Regular-quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 31 mm, the weight is 13 g and the thickness is 2.35 mm. As with every coin mintage, deviations of 0.1 mm in diameter and 0.15 mm in thickness are allowed for these coins. The weight is allowed to vary by up to 0.26 g and the silver content by up to 1%. On the obverse of the two-hundred-crown coin, a statue of St. John of Nepomuk on a pedestal is depicted in the middle of the coin field. The name of the state “ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA” is placed around the halo in the copy. The denomination of the coin with the abbreviation of the monetary unit “200 CZK” is located at the bottom left edge of the coin. The mark of the Czech Mint consisting of the letters “Č” and “M” is located to the right of the pedestal. On the reverse of the two-hundred-crown coin, in the middle of the coin field, there is the vertical text “JAN BROKOFF”, which is supplemented in the upper part by a circular composition with the years “1718” and “2018”. The text and years are supplemented with a historicizing decor with Baroque details. The mark of the coin’s designer, Asamat Baltaev, DiS., is located at the bottom left edge of the coin. Each coin is accompanied by a catalogue card with a white marble decor, which contains a description of the coin and its plastic representation.
