On May 26, 2020, the Czech National Bank is issuing the ninth gold coin from the Castles series. Its theme is Bečov nad Teplou Castle. The coin is minted from 999.9 fineness gold and is issued in two versions, regular and high-quality (proof), which differ in surface finish and edge design. In high-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth. Regular quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm, the weight is 15.55 g and the thickness is 1.9 mm. When minting coins, deviations of 0.1 mm in diameter and 0.15 mm in thickness are allowed. The weight is allowed to vary by up to 0.062 g and the gold content by up to 0.01%. On the obverse of the coin, partial motifs from the reliquary of St. Maurus are depicted in the middle. The upper part of the coin features a composition of heraldic animals from the large state emblem. The name of the cycle "CASTLES" is located at the left edge of the coin, and the text "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA" is located at the bottom right edge. To the right of the motifs from the reliquary of St. Maurus is the denomination of the coin's nominal value with the abbreviation of the monetary unit "5,000 CZK". Below the abbreviation of the monetary unit "Kč" is the mark of the Czech Mint, which is formed by a composition of the letters "Č" and "M". The reverse side of the coin depicts the entire Bečov nad Teplou castle complex, including the Baroque chateau with a garden. The text "HRAD BEČOV NAD TEPLOU" is located at the bottom edge of the coin. The year of minting "2020" is located at the left edge of the coin. The initials of the coin's designer, Luboš Charvát, which are formed by the connected letters "L" and "Ch", are located at the right edge of the coin.
