Gold coin 5000 CZK Veveří Castle 2019 Standard

On May 28, 2019, the Czech National Bank is issuing the seventh gold coin from the Castles series. Its theme is Veveří Castle. The coin is minted from 999.9 fine gold and is issued in two versions, regular and high-quality (proof), which differ in the surface finish and edge design. In high-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth. Regular quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm, the weight is 15.55 g and the thickness is 2 mm. When minting coins, deviations of 0.1 mm in diameter and 0.15 mm in thickness are allowed. The weight is allowed to deviate up to 0.062 g and the gold content to deviate up to 0.01%. The obverse of the coin depicts the castle courtyard through a view through the door portal. The right part of the portal features stylized heraldic animals from the large state emblem, namely the Czech lion, Moravian eagle and Silesian eagle. Above the portal is a stone slab in the center with the relief emblem of Sigismund of Tiefenbach and on the sides with the coats of arms of Bohunka of Žerotín and Kateřina Meziříčská of Lomnica. In the left part of the coin field is the text "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA", next to which is the denomination of the coin's nominal value with the abbreviation of the monetary unit "5,000 CZK". The mark of the Czech Mint, which is formed by the composition of the letters "Č" and "M", is located in the lower part of the coin field. The reverse side of the coin depicts the castle core from the ceiling. At the upper edge of the coin is the text "HRAD VEVEŘÍ". The year of mintage "2019" is located under the bridge arch.
