Gold coin 5000 CZK Buchlov Castle 2020 Proof

On October 6, 2020, the Czech National Bank will issue the last tenth gold coin from the Castles series. Its theme is Buchlov Castle. The coin is minted from 999.9 fine gold and is issued in two versions, regular and high-quality (proof), which differ in surface finish and edge design. In high-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth. Regular quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm, the weight is 15.55 g and the thickness is 1.9 mm. When minting coins, deviations in diameter of 0.1 mm and in thickness of 0.15 mm are allowed. In weight, a deviation of up to 0.062 g is allowed, and in gold content, a deviation of up to 0.01%. The obverse of the coin depicts the silhouette of a castle, which incorporates stylized heraldic animals from the large state emblem, namely the Czech lion in the middle, the Moravian eagle to the left of it and the Silesian eagle to the right of it. At the bottom right edge of the coin is the name of the cycle "CASTLES", the text "ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA" and the mark of the Czech Mint, which is formed by a composition of the letters "Č" and "M". At the bottom left edge is the denomination of the coin's nominal value with the abbreviation of the monetary unit "5,000 CZK". The reverse side of the coin depicts Buchlov Castle. At the bottom edge of the coin is the year of minting "2020" and the text "HRAD BUCHLOV". The initials of the coin's author, MgA. Josef Oplištil, which are formed by the connected letters "J" and "O", are located at the bottom right edge of the coin.
