Gold coin 5000 CZK Rabí Castle 2018 Standard

On September 18, 2018, the Czech National Bank will issue the sixth gold coin from the Castles series. Its theme is Rabí Castle. The coin is minted from 999.9 fine gold and is issued in two versions, regular and proof, which differ in surface finish and edge design. In top-quality coins, the field of the coin is highly polished and the relief is matted, the edge is smooth. Regular-quality coins have a serrated edge. The diameter of the coin is 28 mm, the weight is 15.55 g and the thickness is 2 mm. When minting coins, deviations in diameter of 0.1 mm and in thickness of 0.15 mm are allowed. The weight is allowed to vary up to 0.062 g and the gold content to vary up to 0.01%. The obverse of the coin shows an aerial view of the castle grounds. In the right part of the coin field, stylized heraldic animals from the great state emblem are incorporated on the shooting bastions, namely the Czech lion, the Moravian eagle and the Silesian eagle. In the left part of the coin field, there is the text “ČESKÁ REPUBLIKA”, the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation of the monetary unit “5,000 CZK” and the name of the cycle “HRADY”. The mark of the Czech Mint, which is formed by the composition of the letters “Č” and “M”, is placed below the text “HRADY”. The reverse of the coin depicts a detailed view of the remains of the castle buildings. In the lower left part of the coin field, there is the text “HRAD RABÍ” and the year of minting “2018”. The mark of the coin’s designer, Asamat Baltaev, DiS., is located below the year of minting.
